Community Involvement
District Realty strongly believes in giving back to the community that has helped make us the top property management company in Ottawa. All of our principals and many of our employees have volunteered their time and energy to help raise hundreds of thousands of dollars on behalf of numerous local charities and organizations, including:

Like any good business, the principals at District Realty lead by example. Both Steve Ramphos (Co-Founder and President) and Jason Shinder (Principal and Executive Vice President) are actively involved in the community and are well-known throughout Ottawa for their charity and fundraising efforts.
As the Chair of the Hellenic Community's Annual Gold Plate Dinner for the past 22 years, Steve has helped raised well over $1,000,000 for various local charities including
the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, CHEO and several of the Hellenic Community's religious and cultural programs.
Steve has sat on the Board of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation since 2005 and has been a member of its Executive Committee since 2007.
Jason Shinder, Principal & Executive Vice President
A Board Member of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa, Jason is heavily involved with many of the Jewish community's fundraising activities, including serving as Chair of the JFO's annual golf tournament in 2005 and 2006 (an event that raised $450,000). From 2008 to 2010, Jason will serve as Chair of the JFO Annual Campaign, a campaign that currently raises more than $5,000,000 annually.
As the Chair of the Jewish Community Campus Board, Jason assists in raising funds for and implementing over $1,000,000 in capital repairs to the properties in addition to managing the ongoing operation of the campus.
Jason also sits on the Board of Trustees at CHEO.

Steve is a former President of the Hellenic Community, as well as former Member of both the Diocesan Council of Canada and the Metropolis Council of Canada.
